About
About Prop Firm Breakdown
Prop Firm Breakdown compares futures prop firms by the rules that decide whether you get paid: how the loss floor moves, what a bad day costs you, what has to happen before a payout, and whether you can run a trade copier or an automated strategy. We cover 18 firms that fund futures traders, and every one gets the same checklist.
Most prop firm comparison sites earn a commission when you buy an evaluation through their link, and many rank firms by the size of the discount code. We don't do either.
Who runs this site
Prop Firm Breakdown is published by the team behind CrossTrade. No prop firm pays us, and we use no affiliate links or prop firm discount codes. The publisher is CrossTrade LLC, the company that makes CrossTrade.
CrossTrade is an automation platform for NinjaTrader 8 and Tradovate: TradingView alerts to orders, a trade copier, and per-account risk limits. Where an article's subject touches those problems, we say how CrossTrade handles them, in a box labeled as our tool. We never rank a firm higher because it works well with CrossTrade, and every firm page shows the firm's own policy on third-party tools, including firms that prohibit them.
How we verify
- Firm sources only. Every rule, price, and limit comes from the firm's own pricing page, help center, or terms. Review sites, forums, and videos can tell us where to look; they are never the source of a number.
- Dated and linked. Each firm page shows the date we read the firm's pages and links to them. The most recent check was Sep 24, 2026.
- Blanks over guesses. If a firm doesn't publish something, the field reads "Not published", and the firm page lists what we couldn't confirm.
- List prices. Firms discount constantly. We show the list price and compare on the rules, which don't change with the coupon.
- No invented scores. We don't publish star ratings or trust scores. Each firm gets a plain verdict, pros and cons tied to specific rules, and the data to check them.
Corrections
Prop firms change rules often, sometimes with little notice. If something here is out of date, email support@propfirmbreakdown.com with the firm's page that shows the current rule. We fix confirmed errors and log real rule changes on the rule change log.
Not financial advice
Everything here is general information about firm rules, not advice about what you should buy or trade. Futures trading carries substantial risk of loss. Prop firm evaluations are paid products, and the fee is spent whether or not you pass. Confirm current terms with the firm before you pay.
