Rules verified against Lucid Trading's own site on Sep 23, 2026

One-time-fee futures prop firm with three single-step evaluations (LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily) and a straight-to-funded plan (LucidDirect), all with no monthly billing and no activation fee. Funded accounts are simulated and pay 90/10; traders are reviewed for a move to live capital after reaching their plan's final (5th) payout or other triggers. Most plans use an end-of-day drawdown that locks at starting balance + $100, and the daily loss limit is an optional, soft (pause-only) setting chosen at checkout.

Good fit if
You want one-time pricing with no activation fee, an optional daily limit that only pauses you, and explicit permission to run automation and copiers.
Look elsewhere if
You want large early withdrawals: Pro, Flex, and Direct cap each payout request, and Flex allows five payouts before a live review.

What works

  • One-time fees with no monthly billing and no activation fee on any plan.
  • Daily loss limit is optional on LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDaily, and when chosen it only pauses trading for the day (soft breach).
  • End-of-day drawdown on LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDirect that locks at starting balance + $100.
  • LucidPro evaluation has no consistency rule and can be passed in one day.
  • Automation and trade copiers are explicitly permitted (HFT excluded), and news trading is allowed on Pro, Flex and Direct.
  • Supports both NinjaTrader and Tradovate (CQG) plus Rithmic platforms at the same price.

What to watch

  • Payouts are capped per request on Pro, Flex and Direct (e.g. 50K Flex: 50% of profit up to $2,000), and Flex allows only 5 payouts before a live move.
  • LucidDaily funded accounts use an intraday trailing drawdown and treat red-folder USD news trades as a hard breach.
  • LucidDirect requires a 20% consistency rule and profit goals as high as the account's full target ($3,000 on 50K) before the first payout.
  • Moving live closes all remaining sim accounts and evaluations, and household members of a live trader cannot trade sim.
  • No Treasury or crypto futures on the approved list; hedging across correlated products in separate accounts is banned.
  • Accounts untraded for 30 days are permanently deleted.

Programs and prices

List prices as shown on Lucid Trading's site on Sep 23, 2026. Firms discount constantly, so the price you pay is often lower. The rules are what matter: they are the same at any price. The drawdown shown is for the stage you buy (the evaluation, or the funded account on straight-to-funded plans); where the funded stage locks or moves differently, the drawdown detail under each table says so.

LucidPro

Evaluation 1-step One-time fee

Evaluation with no consistency rule that can be passed in one day; funded stage has a 40% payout consistency rule, a buffer, and no scaling plan.

Account Price Profit target Max loss Drawdown Daily loss Min days Max size Activation Reset
25K $108 $1,250 $1,000 EOD trailing, locks $600 (soft) 1 day 2 minis / 20 micros $0 $75
50K $172 $3,000 $2,000 EOD trailing, locks $1,200 (soft) 1 day 4 minis / 40 micros $0 $120
100K $272 $6,000 $3,000 EOD trailing, locks $1,800 (soft) 1 day 6 minis / 60 micros $0 $190
150K $365 $9,000 $4,500 EOD trailing, locks $2,700 (soft) 1 day 10 minis / 100 micros $0 $255
  • Consistency: None
  • DLL on/off is chosen at purchase and applies to both evaluation and funded; it cannot be changed later. Hitting the DLL only locks trading until the next session. In funded, the fixed DLL is replaced by a LucidScale DLL (60% of the highest end-of-day profit) once the account closes above the initial trail balance. Same EOD drawdown in eval and funded. Funded payout rules: minimum profit per cycle of $250 / $500 / $750 / $1,000; largest day no more than 40% of cycle profit; balance must stay above a buffer of initial MLL + $100; minimum request $500; max first payout $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000 and $1,500 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,500 thereafter; pricing card lists 3 days to payout. Reset prices are store list prices; the pricing card showed them $5 to $10 lower (promo) and the add-on fee also applies to DLL-off resets per the site's pricing config. Help center still lists the 25K evaluation DLL as 'None' while the pricing card shows a $600 optional DLL.
Drawdown detail by account size
  • 25K Trails the highest end-of-day balance; locks at $25,100 (start + $100) once the balance exceeds $26,100.
  • 50K Trails the highest end-of-day balance; locks at $50,100 (start + $100) once the balance exceeds $52,100.
  • 100K Trails the highest end-of-day balance; locks at $100,100 (start + $100) once the balance exceeds $103,100.
  • 150K Trails the highest end-of-day balance; locks at $150,100 (start + $100) once the balance exceeds $154,600.

LucidFlex

Evaluation 1-step One-time fee

Cheapest evaluation line; 50% consistency to pass, then a funded account with no consistency rule and no buffer but a profit-based scaling plan and 5 capped payouts before a live review.

Account Price Profit target Max loss Drawdown Daily loss Min days Max size Activation Reset
25K $79 $1,250 $1,000 EOD trailing, locks $600 (soft) 2 days 2 minis / 20 micros $0 $55
50K $136 $3,000 $2,000 EOD trailing, locks $1,200 (soft) 2 days 4 minis / 40 micros $0 $95
100K $258 $6,000 $3,000 EOD trailing, locks $1,800 (soft) 2 days 6 minis / 60 micros $0 $180
150K $372 $9,000 $4,500 EOD trailing, locks $2,700 (soft) 2 days 10 minis / 100 micros $0 $260
  • Consistency: Largest day must be 50% or less of total profit to pass (small built-in cushion so a 2-day pass is possible).
  • Lucid states no minimum days here; the 50% consistency requirement makes 2 days the practical minimum (Lucid: 'you can pass in two days'). DLL on/off is chosen at purchase for both phases. Funded: no consistency rule, no buffer, 90/10. Funded scaling plan by simulated profit (e.g. 50K: 2 minis under $1,000, 3 minis at $1,000 to $1,999, 4 minis at $2,000+), updated at session end; no scaling in the evaluation. Payout rules: 5 days per cycle each with at least $100 / $150 / $200 / $250 profit, positive net profit in the cycle, minimum request $500, maximum 50% of profit up to $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000 (caps do not grow), up to 5 payouts per account after which the trader is moved live.
Drawdown detail by account size
  • 25K Trails the highest end-of-day balance; locks at $25,100 once the balance exceeds $26,100, and moves to the locked level automatically on the first payout.
  • 50K Trails the highest end-of-day balance; locks at $50,100 once the balance exceeds $52,100, and moves to the locked level automatically on the first payout.
  • 100K Trails the highest end-of-day balance; locks at $100,100 once the balance exceeds $103,100, and moves to the locked level automatically on the first payout.
  • 150K Trails the highest end-of-day balance; locks at $150,100 once the balance exceeds $154,600, and moves to the locked level automatically on the first payout.

LucidDaily (end-of-day evaluation drawdown)

Evaluation 1-step One-time fee

Daily-payout plan: evaluation with an end-of-day drawdown, then a funded account with daily payouts, no consistency rule, an intraday drawdown and a news-trading ban.

Account Price Profit target Max loss Drawdown Daily loss Min days Max size Activation Reset
25K $122 $1,250 $1,000 EOD trailing, locks $600 (soft) 2 days 2 minis / 20 micros $0 $85
50K $165 $3,000 $2,000 EOD trailing, locks $1,200 (soft) 2 days 4 minis / 40 micros $0 $115
100K $279 $6,000 $3,000 EOD trailing, locks $1,800 (soft) 2 days 6 minis / 60 micros $0 $195
150K $386 $9,000 $4,500 EOD trailing, locks $2,700 (soft) 2 days 10 minis / 100 micros $0 $270
  • Consistency: Largest day 50% or less of total profit to pass (small cushion).
  • Same product as the intraday line except the evaluation drawdown type. LucidDaily FUNDED accounts always use an INTRADAY trailing drawdown (locks at start + $100). Funded: payouts can be requested daily once balance is above the buffer (initial MLL + $100) with positive net profit since the last payout; minimum $500; maximum is all profit above the buffer. A maximum daily sim profit ($6,000 / $8,000 / $10,000 / $12,000) triggers an automatic move to live. Trading USD high-impact (red folder) news in the funded account is a hard breach: flat from 1 minute before to 1 minute after. On moving live, the funded buffer seeds the live drawdown and sim profit above the buffer paid out is capped at $15,000 total; no live bonus from LucidDaily. The 2-day minimum shown reflects the 50% consistency rule (a 2-day pass is possible), not a stated minimum.

  • 25K Evaluation only: trails end-of-day balance, locks at $25,100 once above $26,100. Funded switches to intraday trailing.
  • 50K Evaluation only: trails end-of-day balance, locks at $50,100 once above $52,100. Funded switches to intraday trailing.

  • 150K Evaluation only: trails end-of-day balance, locks at $150,100 once above $154,600. Funded switches to intraday trailing.

LucidDaily (intraday evaluation drawdown)

Evaluation 1-step One-time fee

Lower-priced LucidDaily configuration: intraday trailing drawdown in both the evaluation and the funded account, daily payouts, no funded consistency rule.

Account Price Profit target Max loss Drawdown Daily loss Min days Max size Activation Reset
25K $100 $1,250 $1,000 Intraday, locks $600 (soft) 2 days 2 minis / 20 micros $0 $70

100K $229 $6,000 $3,000 Intraday, locks $1,800 (soft) 2 days 6 minis / 60 micros $0 $160
150K $322 $9,000 $4,500 Intraday, locks $2,700 (soft) 2 days 10 minis / 100 micros $0 $225
  • Consistency: Largest day 50% or less of total profit to pass (small cushion).
  • Funded rules identical to the EOD LucidDaily line (intraday drawdown, daily payouts above the buffer, max daily sim profit triggers a live move, red-folder USD news is a hard breach in funded, $15,000 cap on sim profit paid on the move to live). The DLL, when chosen, stays fixed through the session; if the intraday MLL trails above it, the MLL becomes the binding (hard) limit.

Funded stage and payouts

What funded means here
Sim-funded accounts (LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily and LucidDirect funded) paid in real money, followed by LucidLive accounts at a live brokerage (Tradovate or Rithmic) at the risk team's discretion. LucidMaxx is an invite-only eval-to-live plan for top performers.
Profit split
90/10 on all current funded plans. Accounts bought or reset before Nov 28, 2025 3 PM EST keep 100% of the first $10,000 on LucidPro.
How often you can withdraw
No payout windows: request any day once eligible (LucidDaily daily). Approved payouts are deducted within minutes and disbursed within 2 business days; site advertises about 15 minutes from request to bank.
Minimum payout
$500 per request on every plan.
Payout cap
Per-request caps on Pro ($1,000 to $3,500 by size and payout number), Flex (50% of profit up to $1,000 to $3,000) and Direct ($1,000 to $3,500); LucidDaily has no per-request cap but a max daily sim profit that triggers a live move. Flex allows 5 payouts per account; payout 5 is the top level on other plans before live review.
What you must do first
Pro: per-cycle profit goal, 40% consistency, balance above buffer (initial MLL + $100). Flex: 5 profitable days above a size-based minimum plus positive cycle profit, no buffer, no consistency. Daily: above buffer plus positive net profit since last payout. Direct: 20% consistency plus per-cycle profit goal.
Path to a live account
Traders enter a live review pool after the final (5th) payout on their plan, large lifetime payouts, exceptional sim performance, or a prior live move (LucidDaily also on hitting the max daily profit). Each funded account with at least one payout becomes a live account starting at $0 with an EOD drawdown equal to the funded MLL (locks at $100 once profits equal the drawdown), daily uncapped payouts, no DLL and no consistency rule, plus a profit-based contract scaling plan. First-time movers can earn a one-time live bonus equal to the drawdown (e.g. $2,000 per 50K) after clearing it. All remaining sim accounts close on the move; household members of a live trader may not trade sim. 2-week cooldown after blowing live.
Ongoing fees
No monthly fees and no activation fee on any plan. Commissions charged per side. Optional market-depth data add-ons.

Trading rules that end accounts

Automation

Allowed, with limits

Automated systems are allowed in all phases as long as they follow Lucid rules; the trader bears responsibility for software errors. High-frequency trading is prohibited (written warning, then profit removal and permanent ban), and microscalping is flagged when more than 50% of profit comes from trades held 5 seconds or less.

"Automated trading systems and trade copiers are permitted" Source

Trade copiers

Allowed, with limits

Trade copiers are explicitly permitted (the store even sells a Rithmic Trade Copier add-on). Hedging is banned in every form: opposite positions across your own accounts (including mini vs micro, or correlated products like long ES / short NQ in separate accounts), between different users, or between different firms. The help center does not explicitly address copying other people's trades or signal services.

"Automated trading systems and trade copiers are permitted" Source
Account limit
Per household: up to 10 active evaluations, 5 funded accounts (all funded plan types combined) and 5 LucidLive accounts, with a combined cap of 10 evaluation + funded accounts (e.g. 5 funded leaves room for 5 evaluations).
News trading
Allowed on LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDirect (trader bears slippage risk). Prohibited in LucidDaily funded accounts: must be flat from 1 minute before to 1 minute after high-impact USD (red folder) news; violation is a hard breach.
Overnight and weekends
No overnight holds on sim accounts: positions must be closed by 4:45 PM EST Monday to Friday and are auto-closed then (not a failure). Market reopens 6:00 PM EST. Earlier holiday closes apply. LucidLive: no swing trading; hold until 4:45 PM EST (Tradovate Live) or 4:15 PM EST (Rithmic Live).
Other rules
  • Hedging across own accounts, other users or other firms is prohibited; first detection resets the accounts to the prior day's balance, repeats breach all involved accounts.
  • High-frequency trading prohibited; microscalping flagged above 50% of profit from trades of 5 seconds or less.
  • Exploiting sim price discrepancies, system errors or update delays is prohibited. Scaling in (DCA) and flipping trades to meet day counts are allowed; martingale is discouraged.
  • Accounts with no $1+ net P&L in 30 calendar days are deemed abandoned and deleted; breached accounts are deleted after 30 days if not reset.
  • Restricted countries include Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Turkey, Morocco, Iceland, Lithuania, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Ecuador and others (citizens or residents).

Lucid Trading FAQ

Does Lucid Trading allow trade copiers?
Allowed, with limits.
Can you use automated trading or bots at Lucid Trading?
Allowed, with limits.
What drawdown does Lucid Trading use?
End-of-day trailing, locks: The floor moves up only when a session closes at a new high balance. Open profit during the day does not drag it up. Once the floor reaches the starting balance (at some firms, plus a small buffer), it stops rising and stays there. Intraday trailing, locks: The floor follows your highest equity in real time, open profit included, so giving back an open gain tightens it. Once the floor reaches the starting balance (at some firms, plus a small buffer), it stops rising and stays there. The type depends on which program you buy.
Which platforms can you use with Lucid Trading?
