Rules verified against TradeDay's own site on Sep 23, 2026

TradeDay sells monthly-subscription, one-step futures evaluations in two lines launched with 'TradeDay 2.0' in mid-2026: Quick Pay (5-day minimum, 30% consistency, payouts from day one of Funded Sim) and Fast Pass (3-day minimum, 45% consistency, EOD drawdown, capped payout cycles). Passing traders go to a simulated Funded Sim account and are then moved to a Funded Live account trading real money on the exchange at a 90/10 split, either at $10,000 gross profit (Quick Pay) or on the fifth payout request (Fast Pass).

Good fit if
You want no activation fee, no daily loss limit, a floor that stops trailing at the starting balance, and a defined path to a live account at 90/10.
Look elsewhere if
You hold through CPI, NFP, or FOMC (TradeDay flattens you), or you want full-split payouts early: Quick Pay splits the first $4,000 in each account 50/50.

What works

  • No activation fee, and the monthly subscription is cancelled the day you are funded.
  • No daily loss limit on any program; the only hard rule is the trailing max drawdown.
  • Trailing drawdown stops trailing once it reaches the starting balance.
  • Quick Pay Funded Sim allows payouts from day one with no buffer and a $250 minimum.
  • Real live-capital path: Fast Pass moves to Funded Live on the 5th payout request, Quick Pay at $10,000 gross profit, both at a 90/10 split.
  • Free NinjaTrader 8 license on the Tradovate/CQG route, plus a Rithmic route for Quantower, ATAS, Sierra Chart and others.

What to watch

  • Quick Pay Funded Sim pays only 50/50 on the first $4,000 of profit in each account.
  • Quick Pay Funded Sim uses an intraday trailing drawdown even when the evaluation was EOD.
  • Fast Pass Funded Sim payouts are capped per cycle ($750 on 25K up to $2,250 on 150K) and each cycle needs 5 qualifying profitable days.
  • Must be flat 10 minutes before the daily close and flat around Tier 1 releases (CPI, NFP, FOMC).
  • Full-size gold, silver, copper and platinum are restricted since February 2026.
  • Funded Live traders pay CME professional data ($156/month per exchange) and real commissions.

Programs and prices

List prices as shown on TradeDay's site on Sep 23, 2026. Firms discount constantly, so the price you pay is often lower. The rules are what matter: they are the same at any price. The drawdown shown is for the stage you buy (the evaluation, or the funded account on straight-to-funded plans); where the funded stage locks or moves differently, the drawdown detail under each table says so.

Quick Pay (Intraday drawdown)

Evaluation 1-step Monthly subscription

Cheapest line; intraday trailing drawdown, 5-day minimum, 30% consistency, payouts possible from the first day of Funded Sim with no buffer.

Account Price Profit target Max loss Drawdown Daily loss Min days Max size Activation Reset Consistency
25K $100/mo $1,500 $1,000 Intraday, locks None 5 days 2 minis / 20 micros $0 $45 No single day over 30% of total profit (exceeding it raises the target, does not fail the account)
50K $131/mo Site showed 55% off: $59/month on 2026-09-23 $3,000 $2,000 Intraday, locks None 5 days 5 minis / 50 micros $0 $59 30% of total profit
100K $240/mo Site showed 55% off: $108/month on 2026-09-23 $6,000 $3,000 Intraday, locks None 5 days 10 minis / 50 micros $0 $108 30% of total profit
150K $360/mo Site showed 55% off: $162/month on 2026-09-23 $9,000 $4,500 Intraday, locks None 5 days 15 minis / 50 micros $0 $162 30% of total profit
  • Reset fee shown on the pricing page equals the discounted monthly price; a free reset also comes with each subscription renewal. Funded Sim uses an intraday trailing drawdown. Funded Sim split: 50/50 on profit below $4,000 in that account, 80/20 on profit above $4,000 (calculated per account). No payout buffer, $250 minimum. At $10,000 gross profit the account is paused and reviewed for Funded Live; profit above $10,000 is forfeited.
Drawdown detail by account size
  • 25K Intraday trailing; stops trailing once the floor reaches the starting balance ($25,000)
  • 50K Intraday trailing; stops trailing at the starting balance ($50,000)
  • 100K Intraday trailing; stops trailing at the starting balance ($100,000)
  • 150K Intraday trailing; stops trailing at the starting balance ($150,000)

Quick Pay (End of Day drawdown)

Evaluation 1-step Monthly subscription

Same targets and payout model as Quick Pay Intraday, but the evaluation drawdown only updates on the end-of-day balance.

25K $120/mo Site showed 55% off: $54/month on 2026-09-23 $1,500 $1,000 EOD trailing, locks None 5 days 2 minis / 20 micros $0 $54

  • Consistency: 30% of total profit
  • Help center states Quick Pay Funded Sim accounts use an intraday drawdown regardless of evaluation type, so the EOD benefit applies to the evaluation only. Funded terms identical to Quick Pay Intraday.
Drawdown detail by account size
  • 25K EOD trailing; stops trailing at the starting balance. Breaching the floor intraday still fails the account.
  • 50K EOD trailing; stops trailing at the starting balance
  • 100K EOD trailing; stops trailing at the starting balance
  • 150K EOD trailing; stops trailing at the starting balance

Fast Pass (End of Day drawdown)

Evaluation 1-step Monthly subscription

Pass in as few as 3 days with a looser 45% consistency rule; EOD drawdown carries into Funded Sim and Funded Live; 80/20 in Funded Sim with capped payout cycles, auto-promotion to Funded Live on the 5th payout request.

Funded stage and payouts

What funded means here
Two stages. Funded Sim: simulated account, paid from simulated profits, no professional data fees. Funded Live: real-money account trading on the exchange, KYC/AML setup takes about five business days, subject to a slippage risk rule and position limits set by the trading team.
Profit split
Quick Pay Funded Sim: 50/50 on profit below $4,000 in that account, 80/20 on profit above $4,000 (per account, not lifetime). Fast Pass Funded Sim: 80/20. Funded Live: 90/10 (Quick Pay Funded Live pays 50% on the buffer amount carried over and 90% on profit above it).
How often you can withdraw
Quick Pay Funded Sim: any time the account shows positive profit (day-one payouts, no buffer). Fast Pass Funded Sim: once per cycle of 5 profitable trading days meeting the tier's daily minimum. Requests before 5:30 pm CT processed within 24 business hours.
Minimum payout
$250 per request
Payout cap
Quick Pay Funded Sim: no per-payout cap published, but the account is paused at $10,000 gross profit for Funded Live review and profit above $10,000 is forfeited. Fast Pass Funded Sim (accounts opened after July 26, 2026): $750 (25K), $1,500 (50K), $1,875 (100K), $2,250 (150K) per cycle. Earlier Fast Pass accounts: $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000 on 50K / 100K / 150K.
What you must do first
Cannot withdraw below starting balance. Quick Pay: no buffer, 1 day minimum. Fast Pass: net profit since previous payout, 5 profitable days at $100/$150/$200/$250 minimum by tier, 45% consistency. Funded Live: start at $0 with the EOD drawdown as a negative floor that trails dollar for dollar; a $500 slippage buffer (Fast Pass) must be cleared before withdrawals. Must stop trading after a payout request until funds arrive (Fast Pass). Paid via Riseworks.
Path to a live account
Quick Pay: when an account reaches $10,000 gross profit it is paused at 4:30 pm CT, reviewed overnight, and moved to Funded Live within up to 10 business days if approved. Fast Pass: automatic move to a new Funded Live account ($0 starting balance, same EOD drawdown) on the 5th payout request, starting at 1/2/3/4 contracts by tier. Maximum 5 Funded Live accounts. Losing a Funded Live account triggers a 3-month cooling-off period.
Ongoing fees
No activation fee; the monthly subscription is cancelled on the day you are funded and members-area access stays free. Funded Sim: no data fees. Funded Live: CME professional market data $156/month per exchange, real commissions debited from the account, plus a $2/month Tradovate card processing fee. Withdrawal fees: US wire free, international wire $15, L1 crypto $2.50 plus gas, L2 crypto free.

Trading rules that end accounts

Automation

Allowed, with limits

Self-built automated systems are allowed only through supported platforms (NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView, Jigsaw, Quantower); TradeDay gives no API access. Bots or ATS bought from third parties are forbidden, as is several users running the same bot. Strategies producing more than 200 trades a day, or trades lasting a few seconds for a couple of ticks, are prohibited. Same rules across evaluation and funded.

Trade copiers

Allowed, with limits

Copying between your own accounts only: any mix of Evaluation and Funded Sim accounts (2 to 10 total), or among up to 5 Funded Live accounts, but never between Funded Live and Evaluation/Funded Sim, and you cannot hold open trades in both groups at once. Copying from your own personal account elsewhere into TradeDay is allowed. If multiple users make the same trades, all accounts are shut down. Article updated 2026-09-22.

"You may copy trade any combination of Evaluation and Funded Sim accounts, with 2 to 10 accounts total." Source
Account limit
Up to 10 accounts at any one time. At most 5 active Funded Sim accounts (extra passes queue until a slot opens) and up to 5 Funded Live accounts. One username and one user per household. All accounts must be on one broker (Tradovate/CQG or Rithmic). The multiple-accounts article also says traders in Funded Live cannot buy more accounts until off-boarded.
News trading
Tier 1 releases are blocked: TradeDay auto-closes positions 2 minutes before and reopens 2 minutes after FOMC (1:00 pm CT), CPI and Non-Farm Payrolls (7:30 am CT) on all products; crude and natural gas inventories on energy contracts; crop reports (11:00 am CT) on ag contracts. Deliberate violations lead to suspension and loss of profits.
Overnight and weekends
Overnight session trading is allowed, but all positions must be flat 10 minutes before the daily close (auto-liquidation at 3:50 pm CT). No holding through the daily close, so no overnight-to-next-session or weekend holds. Products with earlier closes (e.g. ags) are the trader's responsibility.
Other rules
  • Hedging (long in one account, short in another on the same product) is prohibited and forfeits profits.
  • No minimum hold time is published, but strategies trading for a few seconds to capture a couple of ticks and more than 200 trades per day are prohibited.
  • Order splitting at the same price/time, trading outside the best bid/offer, exploiting lack of sim slippage, queue-position gaming, and slow/external data feeds are prohibited.
  • VPN, VPS, or IP-masking use is prohibited.
  • Funded traders may not trade within 2% of a price limit; breach loses the funded account.
  • Restricted countries include (among ~80 listed) Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, South Africa, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Serbia. Traders in Canada (outside Ontario) and Germany are limited to Funded Sim.

TradeDay FAQ

Does TradeDay allow trade copiers?

Strategies producing more than 200 trades a day, or trades lasting a few seconds for a couple of ticks, are prohibited. Same rules across evaluation and funded.
What drawdown does TradeDay use?
End-of-day trailing, locks: The floor moves up only when a session closes at a new high balance. Open profit during the day does not drag it up. Once the floor reaches the starting balance (at some firms, plus a small buffer), it stops rising and stays there. Intraday trailing, locks: The floor follows your highest equity in real time, open profit included, so giving back an open gain tightens it. Once the floor reaches the starting balance (at some firms, plus a small buffer), it stops rising and stays there. The type depends on which program you buy.
Which platforms can you use with TradeDay?
